Blackberry Pearl

blackberry pearlResearch in Motion’s latest Blackberry model nicknamed “Blackberry Pearl” is the first model that supports playing music and displaying video. The blackberry is slick and sexier than ever and even slimmer than a closed razor phone. The latest blackberry is also considered a smartphone and not a cellular-wireless handheld like all blackberry models. Measuring just 4.2″ x 1.97″ x .57″ and weighing only 3.1 ounces, the Blackberry Pearl uses the same QWERTY style keyboard as previously featured in the Blackberry 7100 series where two letters are assigned to each key. The SureType technology assists the user at inputting text making it more user-friendly without sacrificing the business features that made the blackberry popular in the first place.

The Blackberry Pearl has a bright 240 x 260 pixel screen resolution and supports MP3 and AAC music files. The blackberry Pearl is Bluetooth 2.0 compatible and has a standard headphone jack for you to listen to music. The new Blackberry is the first Blackberry to hold a 1.3 mega pixel camera. A MicroSD memory card slot is available for you to store pictures and music files on.

The new Blackberry Pearl comes with a trackball that allows scrolling even easier on heavy populated text and menus. Each side of the trackball has a menu and escape button. Unfortunately the trackball isn’t recessed and can easily be disturbed when stored in your pocket.
